Shark Week 2011- Great White

I know it's not the clearest it could be, but that's because I still have a craptastic camera. This is the best I could do with my sister's camera on her phone. :I (please avoid pointing that out, as I will get a better picture in the future.)

Anyway, this is my belated Shark Week celebratory artwork! It's of my favorite animal of all time; the Great White Shark!
I love these sharks - they are truly amazing, interesting, and such an important part of the ecosystems they are a part of.

I was going for realism, but I ended up coming up with some surrealism in the end product. I was also gunning for finding another use for the gold paint I had lying around after my Giratina cosplay.

Anyway, this was done in acrylic paint over a week and a half. I made A LOT of mistakes while painting this and a lot of times, like every one of my paintings, I wanted to quit because I hated it. Now I love it and glad that I make myself finish these.
