Line Bio: They tend to live in loose groups of up to 10 individuals, and tend to share clan duties, such as hunting and caring for young. The brightness of their manes determines their rank int he group. When hunting, they will surround a prey item and flare their manes, causing the prey to fall victim to heat exhaustion. Their wings are able for flight, but not for long distances - they prefer to run, only flying if desperate.

Design history:
Of any Fakemon, I think the Scortchkit line has gone through a lot. This is mostly due to the fact that the idea was originally my brother's, when he was still into Pokemon. He wanted to help me make Fakemon, so this was one of his designs. The line used to be bipedal, like Meowth, and were quite plain. They also weren't starters either. In fact, just like Ranalia, they only recently became starters when I decided to have traditional starters in Wardy. Over the years, the line has flip-flopped between 2 and 3 stages, and Cattane is incredibly new. So new that, if anyone reading this ever read Contest Tie, you'll know Drew had a Flareitten, and it was accepted that wasn't going to evolve - yeah, THAT new. In fact, Flareitten itself has gone through some new drafting since Contest Tie ended - the spots and the fire mane is all new. You know, the only thing that these Fakemon have kept over the years are their names! XD
And it's obvious they're based off of many different felines, including house cats, lions, ocelots, and leopards. :3 Their blue eyes are from new born kittens and their coloration is that of fire, naturally. XD
